This tender contact and the changes under my seat were the sign of hope for what I have in mind. An equitation that does justice to the horse without renegging on performance. In the second unit I foolishly abandoned this hope in a serious relaps, supported by growing means of self control.
Years ago I was weak. The horses were young, boisterous and full of problems. The ideal situation to research the horse's Bewegungsapparat and human/equine structural and nerve correlations. Now, due to the discovery of reflexes, which I suspect work within the framework of the dermatomes and my structural integration according to Dr. Ida Rolf, I am much stronger and no longer willing to compromise. The result: some of my German sports methods of getting what I want have returned. Serendipidously now two concepts are mixed. Go slow and do only what the horse offers and define your goals and reach them.
The horses object. Yes has turned into no. I am challenged in a new way: go slow and reach your goal, while keeping a close eye on what the horse can or may not be able to do.
