Yes. But which path?
Much of my work this spring has been devoted to knowing, understanding and comparing progressions. The complication. They must be evaluated in view of progressive genetic changes of the horse, the current is-status of horse's in research and my own albeit lacking physical state. Not to mention the horse's previous experience, which serendipidously plays into the process as well.
My goal was and is to find a synthesis of the great classical German pre-sports school (Steinbrecht to Bürkner), the French pre-industrial classical school (de la Guérinière) and the results of the French renewal (Baucher to Beudant). Obviously I view all in light of my own experience and study-horsemanship research results.
But. Is this not what Nuno Oliveira has already done? Yes. But it never hurts to double check. And find simpler and more effective ways for modern equitation. E-mail replaces snail mail. Doesn't it?
