On Blogging

Wondering about blogging, this new interactive Internet option, bound to change the way humans communicate, learn and get involved? A blog is a software, which permits a blogger (I don't like the term either, how about writer) to communicate and the reader to respond. Comments, even if only to say hello are alway welcome. Most blog writers will gladly incorporate reader's input sent by mail. Blogs thrives on regular entries. These usually appear latest first. That is, to get the full picture the reader must read from the bottom up (in case of individual topics scroll down to their respective beginning). This blog, like most other blogs, is a live journal. Its has several sub-sites, devoted to individual subjects. In these sub-sites (you find them in the entries) posts are presented chronologically, with newest entries to be accessed from the side-bar.

2007

Sunday night I completed the translation of Die Elemente der Reiterei (2005) from the English original to the German language. Monday morning copies went off to the editor and the typesetter. As soon as these departed my e-mail box I made a cup of coffee, sat down and began to work on How Humanity Functions, this project which has been calling be. Text again in English. I trust that, if there is anything to say, language will be available to say it.

Noticing that this blog now has 89 entries, this one counted, I will have to make a decision soon. My plan is to close this blog after 99 entries and leave it to posterity to read and judge its value. It has been of unvaluable assistance in the process of focusing, for record keeping and for communication.

I will begin a new blog to work out all questions pertaining to How Does Humanity Functions?. Again I welcome you as reader. I as well invite you to participate by adding comments and/or communitcating by e-mail. 2007 may be our year!
