We need to be convinced to believe something, don't we?
What convinces me that the Word of God is indeed speaking God's mind is the way it addresses practical matters. But read for yourself. The following excerpts are from Paul's second letter to the Corinthians.
"He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge your harvest..."
This Paul concludes after saying,
"Then there will be equality, as it is written (referring to Exodus 16:18), "He who gathered much will not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little"."
Again he speaks of man's will and the importance to will God's will, saying,
"Remember this: the one who sows spearingly will also reap sparingly. The one who sows generously will reap generously. Each man should give, what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And one final thought. Is not all this indeed a world apart?
