Yesterday, reading Jeremiah and Isaiah, I got discouraged. Understanding stories and statements here and there, I simply was not able to get it together. Too much is said, too much of the circumstance they speak to is not imminently knowable. Not the least the circumstance that human societies, at their time still few and far apart, must have been in an earlier state of empowerment (kind of like plants when they begin to grow).
This morning a thought flashed through my mind. Putting the words Pastor Lee Cantelon in Google's search box. I was encouraged in rediscovering the whereabouts of a brother and what feels like a long lost friend.
In the news last night I found out, Ratzinger, living in a world of 9.000 bio inhabitants some 2.500 years after these prophesies were spoken, yesterday spoke on Islam. Counted in inhabitants, Christ's message of salvation came very nearly humanity's beginnings.
