Guesthouse

A tall house, out there on the green fields of Normandy. Open for a public interested to support the a.i.s. vision: Living life hidden from the big cities, while fully participating in contemporary issues, ideas and interests.

As there are: Agriculture and building arts, study-horsemanship, body/awareness, painting, photography, video, design, modern decentralized interdisciplinary education and learning, music, voice... Leave alone the real issues, which - as ancient and as they are modern - occupy humanity today: Money, markets, morality, a way to stand before God... 

Members and non-members are welcome to reside weekly and/or monthly in the spacious apartments of the a.i.s. guesthouse and participate in La Boulaye's peaceful and concentrated environment. 

Rental fees contribute to a.i.s. projects, such as Events and SomE, School of Modern Equitation

The guesthouse operates year round. During summer and other school holidays families with children are favored; and all who enjoy the excitement that surrounds kids. Spring and fall are for workshops, seminars and meetings. Remaining weeks of the year feature retreats and working holidays for all who enjoy good company and Normandy in the winter.

  • August Sander in Paris
    The exhibition August Sander: "Voir, observer et penser" at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson opened September 9, 2009. It will continue through mid-December 2009. Don't miss it if/when you are in Paris.
