For those who arrive by plane via Paris or Caen car rental is available at respective airports. 

Visitors arriving by train please see schedules Paris/St. Lazare-Cherbourg and Cherbourg-Paris/St. Lazare below. The closest station is Bayeux. Cars are available for rent in Caen or near the Bayeux train station.

To fully benefit from visiting Normandy the availability of a car is indispensable. There is a wealth of rural and city sites, monuments, gardens and beeches, all well worth a visit. However, in Normandy close to no public transportation is provided.

    The exhibition August Sander: "Voir, observer et penser" at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson opened September 9, 2009. It will continue through mid-December 2009. Don't miss it if/when you are in Paris.

One thing, however, is evident: There is another horse in the horse we normally get to see.
